About NDIA Michigan Chapter
The Michigan Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) was founded in 1919 as the Army Ordnance Association. Its charter is to provide a legal and ethical forum for the interchange of ideas between the government and industry to resolve industrial problems of joint concern.

Currently the Michigan Chapter has more than 1,700 members representing government, military, and industry. The majority of large businesses that support the Michigan defense community are Corporate Members of NDIA. Global Force Symposium 2021

March 17th-19th
Virtual Event

Due to the ongoing conditions surrounding COVID-19, AUSA has determined that it would be in the best interests of the community not to host an in-person Global Force Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama this March. The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and staff remain our top priorities. We are committed to returning to Huntsville for a live event when we can do so safely and responsibly.

We will certainly miss being in Huntsville this March, but will work with our great partners at the Von Braun Center on possible dates for a live event later in 2021 or early 2022.

2020 Global Force Symposium and Exposition

March 17-19, 2020

The 2020 AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition is a three-day event that includes presentations from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), the United States Army Materiel Command, and the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command.

This symposium will explore the capabilities outlined in the Army Operating Concept and how the force transforms from being adaptive to driving innovation for Force 2025 and beyond. Special guest presentations, coupled with panel discussions from our senior military and industry leaders, will address critical points of acquisition, research and development, and partnering between military and industry. For the Army, this means restructuring military-industrial programs. The Army must take a hard look at its acquisition processes, with an eye towards the future, to maintain a competitive overmatch against potential adversaries.
