PEP Touch Screen Interface Displays

The IEE PEP (Peripheral Entry Panel) is an interactive terminal assembly integrating a 6-line by 40-character vacuum fluorescent display with an infrared switch matrix. Interaction with the host system occurs when the operator reads displayed messages and responds by finger contact with a touch sensitive switch location on the screen. Since the switch matrix uses optical technology, no annoying grids are present to degrade the appearance of the display.

• U.S. ASCII, scientific, general European, Scandinavian, German and user-defined character sets in a 5x7 dot matrix.
• Blinking character fields and three levels of dimming, both software controlled.
• Bell output allows for audible feedback with a user-provided signaling device.
• Watchdog timer and improved noise immunity of the RESET input.
• Choice of a six color display filters.
• UL recognized component.
